Scanning Equipment
Scanning requires quality equipment to accurately capture the occipital and mastoid contours, including:
- White Light Scanner: Examples are TechMed or Rodin devices
- File Types: We accept .aop, .med, .fsn., and .stl files
- Stockinettes: Cover each patient’s head for scanning, leaving the ears and face free
Tablet or smartphone-based scanners should not be used, because their output resolution is too low.
